As the article in this link tells, not only are they looking at a 1000 foot extension and Foreign Trade Zone Designation, but they also may be home to a large manufacturing facility. This expansion will also enhance the viability of the Biotech company which recently purchased a property in Newport as well as the newly expanded Jay Peak Resort. Orleans County Board of Realtors Raise over $7K for Local Charities

OCBR Donates to Local Charities
The Orleans County Board of Realtors Raised $7355.86 at our 2011 Holiday Fundraising Auction. Yesterday they donated $1838.96 to the United Church of Newport – Food Shelf, the Orleans Federated Church – Food Shelf, the Jay Area Food Shelf and the Area Agency on Aging for Fuel Assistance. All of the Organizations have been asked to spend the funds locally on food and oil so that the money raised in the community gets reinvested back into the community.
